The employer is a 5-Star- Hotel which is located in the heart of Trivandrum, the state capital of Kerala. It belongs to Carlson Hospitality Worldwide. Carlson is a global leader in hospitality services, comprising more than 1,570 hotels, resorts restaurants, and cruise ship operations in 81 countries.
The hotel has a total of 57 rooms. The facilities of the hotel include a business center, conferencing & banqueting facilities, a multi cuisine restaurant, a lounge bar, a swimming pool. The hotel caters to a mix of international clientele. It is also a preferred Air Crew Hotel (such as by Kuwait & Gulf Airways) and known for its food & beverage promotions and for trying and executing innovative ideas to improve the customer service.
Informationen zum Hotel
The intern is expected to become familiar with and work in the following departments:
Front office, Guest relations, Executive house keeping, Floor supervision, Food & beverage service, Bar lounge and restaurants. An internship plan will be worked out taking the interns interests and internship duration into consideration
The intern will be involved in the following tasks:
Ensures guests are personally welcomed and escorted on arrival
* Facilitates the efficient arrival and departure formality for all guest.
* Actively elicits guests feedback and preferences regarding hotel services and ensures that the action is initiated on the same to maximize guest satisfaction.
* Responsible for maintaining and updating guest history details.
* Personally ensures that appropriate arrangements are made for all special / VIP Guests prior to their arrival ( Room Block, Room Check, Amenities etc .)
* Coordinates the delivery of all special amenities and facilitation to guests.
* Coordinates all special public relation activities with regard to important and VIP Guests.(eg: Traditional Welcome, Photographs, Guest Comment Registers, Press Releases etc.)
*Ensures all special guests requests are met , with in moral and ethical norms.
*Familiar with Front Desk Operations.
Anforderungen:
- good communication skills
- education or experience in hotel or tourism management
- interest in Indian culture
- very good English Language Skills
- preferable user skills in Fidelio software
