General Placement Description:

Hawker Pacific Aerospace engages into Lean Manufacturing in order to improve and optimise operational processes.
Under this Lean Initiative multiple projects have been started or are in plan: 6S, Lean Boards, Methods to increase visibility and traceability, reporting tools etc., Scheduling, Production Planning.


Specific Tasks/Duties/
Responsibilities:
• Creation of project plans
• Monitoring of project plans
• Support of individual lean projects
• Lean Presentations
• Planning and accomplishing of individual projects
• Specific tasks will be coordinated together with the interests and skills of the student. These could be:
-Development of Shadow Board in CAD
-Creation of a Project Overview on the Intranet
-Value Stream Mapping on the Shop Floor
-Development of Outlining Strategy on the shop floor.
-Development of IT reporting tools
-Development of Lean Boards on the Shop Floor
-Development of Suggestion Scheme
-Coordination of 6S events

The person should be someone who has a genuine interest in Lean Manufacturing and Project Management


Having a willingness to learn
Excellent communication skills both written and oral
Pro-activeness approach to work
Ability to communicate well with the management
Able to work unsupervised
Ability to prioritize work load
Understanding of the importance of confidentiality in the work place
Relevant experience within the field of Project Management / Lean Manufacturing / Engineering is preferred
