12 months Internship with the New York representative office of a German federal state

The organization promotes a federal state of Germany and offers support to potential investors on behalf of the State Ministry for Economic Affairs.

Consolidated overview of services:
? Attracting and facilitating U.S. companies to establish a location by marketing the State as a premiere global business location
? Providing practical assistance through all stages of the location process
? Providing wide range of detailed information and extensive data about business opportunities
? Compiling overviews of financial incentives and grants

Responsibilities:
? Conduct research and follow trends of U.S. companies via Internet, newspapers, and business/trade magazines
? Translate correspondence and marketing material in English to German and vice versa
? Accompany project managers to trade shows in various industries and assist with location marketing and with client follow-up
? Attend industry conferences and networking events, as well as internal staff meetings. Write reports about events attended or write minutes to the internal staff meetings
? Support project managers with maintenance of current projects
? Administrative tasks (answer telephones, prepare mail merges using Microsoft Word and ACT!, prepare meeting rooms for in-house meetings, prepare marketing information packages)

Qualifikationen

Requirements:
? Student or recent graduate of Business Administration with focus in marketing
? Work experience in the field of consulting
? Good computer skills (MS Office)
? Fluent English and German skills
? Easy-going and open-minded personality, flexibility
? Superior customer service

Sonstiges

Location: New York City/ Manhattan
Compensation: $ 1600/ month
Conditions: The Company covers $ 800 of Placement Fee. The candidate pays $195 - 365 of Placement Fee, J1-Visa Fee ($900) and Health insurance.
