Beschreibung:
The Data Integration Group of the Integrated Data Systems Department of Siemens Corporate Research has immediate internship openings, with a flexible starting date. The duration is 6 months, and longer stay is preferable. In this position, the successful candidate will conduct leading-edge research on emerging technologies, as well as develop business-enabling solutions for our partner companies in diverse fields from medical imaging to transportation systems to power generation. We also provide interesting opportunities for diploma or master thesis. The research areas include:
* Data and document content extraction
* Data aggregation, normalization and enrichment
* XML data management and queries
* Multidimensional and multimedia data management
* RFID and sensor-based data management
* Data integration architectures
* Web-based collaboration architectures
* Maintenance information integration

Anforderungen:
-Java or C/C++ proficiency
-Strong knowledge of data management
-Web programming skills
-Knowledge of XML related technologies
-Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills a must
