The Competence and Application Center for Acoustoelectronic Fundamentals, Technologies and Components – SAWLab Saxony – of the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research – IFW Dresden – is now offering positions for completing a master’s or diploma thesis. In the context of employment as a student assistant compensation is possible.
Within the application-oriented project “MehrZAD”, a recently developed compact acoustic aerosol generator will be further improved and validated for application areas such as mass-spectrometry, material deposition, inhalation therapy and olfactory sources. As part of the team, you will plan, design, analyse and test new atomizer chips and chip holders in real-world scenarios
As a candidate (m/w/d), you study in the field of process engineering, microsystems technology, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, microfluidics or similar and you are interested being part of a cutting-edge research team, and to work with a promising lab-on-a-chip technology. First experiences in microfluidic design and experiment, 2D/3D CAD and aerosol science are advantageous. The ability to work in a team is strongly required.
