Huawei’s Dresden Research Center is responsible for advanced technical research,
architecture evolution design and strategic technical planning in next generation of OS.
We are researching on system resource modeling and online optimization, OS and
runtime support for a new ISA, weak memory issues of migrating applications across
different multicore architectures, automated and scalable formal verification techniques
etc.
Now we are looking for:
Internship in Operating System Kernel Engineering/Research (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Continue growing and expanding your knowledge and problem-solving skills in the process of developing our microkernel-based operating system
- Explore and analyze the state-of-the-art methods for improving performance,
scalability and reliability of operating systems - Support the team in publishing the research results at top scientific venues
- Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or in a similar field
- Basic understanding of operating system internals
- Experience in C and/or Rust
- Experience with microkernel-based operating systems is considered a plus
- Willingness to approach complex problems with creativity and consistency
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in multicultural and distributed teams
- Fluency in written and spoken English
