Intro Cathay Capital is a global investment platform managing >€5bn AUM in a range of investment strategies with more than 130 employees. The Private Equity Team is currently investing from 2 fund vehicles with a combined size of €1.0 billion and targets small- and midsized companies with positive impact in the Healthcare, Enterprise Software and Consumer industries. The Munich office is responsible for coverage of the DACH region. Cathay Capital promotes a collegial culture with flat hierarchies and a high degree of individual ownership. You will be given the opportunity to work closely with colleagues in the Paris headquarters and other colleagues across the globe. Tasks Support the Private Equity Team in assessing investment opportunities and management of the existing portfolio You will become an integral part of the deal team to perform quantitative and qualitative analyses, including: o Company and market research o Screening, identification and evaluation of investment opportunities o Financial analysis o Preparation of investment committee presentations Requirements 1x spot available September-December 2025 (or longer) 1x spot available January-April 2026 (or longer) Previous internship experience in investment banking, management consulting or private equity Self-starter mentality and ability to work independently in a demanding environment Strong analytical and numerical skills (financial statement analysis, modelling) Excellent fact-driven judgment and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Fluency in German and English with outstanding verbal and written communication Affinity to work in an international environment
