Modern RF architectures must be space-saving, energy-efficient, and extremely flexible. They are increasingly being implemented with very broadband analog/digital converters to replace or digitally replicate previous analog RF functions such as filters or mixers. In this project, methods and measurement systems are being developed to calibrate and test new super-efficient power amplifier technologies that integrate built-in self-test (BIST), internal reconfigurability, and artificial intelligence (AI).

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Setup RF/Mixed-Signal measurement systems for power amplifiers that include GaN technology, Digital predistortion (DPD), and built-in intelligence

Build digital interfaces for power amplifiers with LabVIEW FPGA

Develop new measurement procedures for mixed-signal characterization of built-in self-test (BIST) circuits

Implement measurement and automation scripts in LabVIEW and Python

Who You Are: You are passionate about wireless technology and signal processing and like to learn and work with the latest software defined radio techniques and equipment. You can manage your time well and get in touch with mentors with questions to help drive progress and completion of goals and tasks. You work effectively in a distributed team environment, problem-solve, and diagnose technical issues and propose reasonable solutions.

For this Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor or similar degree in Electrical Engineering, Information System Technology, or comparable field of studies 

Basic programming knowledge (, Python, LabVIEW preferred)

Knowledge of common RF test equipment and RF measurements

Basic knowledge in signal processing and RF/wireless communications

Good command of spoken and written English 

Availability for months starting in July  

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Experience in LabVIEW

Experience in the practical use of measurement instruments (, Signal Analyzer, VNA, oscilloscope) 

Interest in RF/Mixed-Signal measurement systems

Analytical thinking and a high degree of initiative

Mastery of a broad toolset for programming, debugging and analytics (, LabVIEW, Python, VS Code, Excel)
