Job description

About Us
At Omegga, we’re on a mission to reinvent how science and AI can drive positive change for animals, people and the planet. Outdated practices still impact billions of lives, and we’re here to change that.

Five years ago, we began in the poultry industry with a bold idea: use breakthrough AI-powered spectroscopy to revolutionise the industry by identifying chick gender before hatching to spare billions of male chicks.

With the support of our customers, investors and the European Commission, we are ready for the next chapter in poultry while exploring new applications for spectroscopy. Join us and help shape a future where innovation drives meaningful change.

What We Look For
This is not a desk-only internship, it’s a hands-on operations and hardware support role. You’ll keep Omegga’s technology moving, from ordering and tracking components to physically assembling parts, organizing the workshop, and ensuring our prototypes and systems are ready on time.

You’ll work directly with our hardware, operations, and engineering teams to bring ideas from the drawing board to the lab bench and eventually to production.

If you love both organisation and building things, and enjoy seeing real hardware come together, this is your place.

Your mission
  • Keep our hardware supply chain running from sourcing components to ensuring every part arrives, fits, and is ready for assembly.
  • Take ownership of our storage and production area, keep it efficient, safe, and ready for action.
  • Support engineers in assembling, testing, and improving hardware systems and prototypes. If you enjoy solving practical problems and making things work, you’ll love this part of the job.
  • Manage supplier relationships, track orders, handle invoices, and maintain clear documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations to identify bottlenecks and improve processes as we scale.
  • Help bridge the gap between design and production, supporting the full lifecycle of our hardware products.
Your profile
  • A hands-on generalist with a bias for action who sees problems as opportunities and gets things done.
  • Background in Engineering, Mechatronics, Business, Logistics or a related field.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and reliable, with a passion for keeping things running smoothly.
  • Comfortable using Excel, Google Sheets, as well as using a screw driver & angle grinder
  • Fluency in English and German is mandatory to ensure effective communication with our suppliers and partners.
  • Curious and eager to learn how high-tech products are designed, built, and delivered.
  • Proactive: if something can be built, fixed, or improved, you’ll jump in and make it happen.
Why us?
  • Mission-driven team: At Omegga, you’re not just an employee, you’re part of a purpose-led journey, working on a solution with a tangible global impact.
  • Relocation Support: Fully furnished, affordable apartment within 3 minutes walking distance of the office (up to 6 months).
  • Modern Work Environment: A beautiful office in Munich’s Werksviertel, with up to 50% remote work.
  • Perks: Monthly voucher where you can choose between 100+ partners (e.g., Urban Sports, D-Ticket, REWE, Rossmann, IKEA).
  • Competitive Salary: Market-aligned compensation recognising your skills and contributions.
  • Vacation: 28 paid vacation days per year.
