Your mission

As a Risk Intern (m/f/d) at Finoa, you will work within the Risk Management Team. You are going to support our team with the implementation as well as the improvement of the company's risk framework. You'll gain deep insights into the regulatory frameworks of a modern financial service provider and actively contribute to strengthening our compliance and operational resilience.

In this role, you will:

Risk Management

• Assist our risk team in the management of financial and non-financial risks.

• Realizing risk assessments.

• Update and develop further our risk management procedures and applied methods.

• Support the risk team in risk calculations including stress testing and scenario analysis. 

• Monitoring and communication of risks, and risk reporting.

Outsourcing Controlling

• Regulatory Research & Analysis: Support the continuous monitoring and evaluation of new laws, regulations, RTS/ITS, and guidelines regarding their impact on our Outsourcing Management.

• Ad-hoc Analyses: Conduct research and analysis on specific questions related to outsourcing and third-party risk management.

• Process Optimization: Help revise and standardize internal processes, risk assessments, and workflows within the outsourcing lifecycle while implementing AI Tools and automation.

• Documentation & Reporting: Support the maintenance of our outsourcing documentation (Assessments, Due Diligence Records etc.) and the preparation of presentations and reports for management and involved business departments.

What you need to be successful:

• You are naturally driven to improve processes, challenge the status quo, and drive meaningful change within a young and agile organization.

• Currently enrolled student (m/f/d) in Business Administration, Economics, Law, Business Informatics, or a comparable field of study, ideally with a focus on Compliance, Risk Management, or Financial Regulation.

• Initial exposure to or strong interest in financial market regulation is a significant advantage.

• High affinity for financial, legal and regulatory issues and the ability to quickly grasp complex matters.

• Structured and analytical thinking, as well as a meticulous and independent working style.

• English language skills, both written and spoken.

• Affinity for AI Tools, process optimization and automating workflows.
