WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a motivated Automation & Verification Intern (6 month Mandatory Internship) to join our Firmware Department in Schönaich.

HERE'S WHERE YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

• Support the development and maintenance of Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines for firmware projects

• Automate build, test, and deployment processes for embedded systems

• Develop and run automated verification scripts (Python, Bash, etc.)

• Collaborate with firmware engineers to enhance testing infrastructure and improve development efficiency

• Contribute to firmware validation using hardware test setups (HIL, simulation, or bench testing)

• Participate in troubleshooting build/test issues and implementing process improvements

WHO YOU ARERequired Qualifications

• Excellent proficiency in Python, with the ability to develop clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  
  
• Practical experience or academic exposure to motion and motor control systems, including actuators,
   servos, stepper motors, and related control architectures
  
  
• Working knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git, including branching strategies and collaborative workflows

Preferred / Optional Qualifications

• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and pipeline design
  
  
• Experience with automation tools such as Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions
  
  
• Exposure to Python testing frameworks, especially pytest
  
  
• Experience with embedded systems development, including C and/or C++ programming
  
  
• Understanding of automated testing methodologies and test infrastructure
  
  
• Experience with industrial automation and control platforms such as TwinCAT, CODESYS, PLC programming environments, Rockwell Automation IDEs (e.g., Studio 5000), and Siemens PROFINET-based systems
  
  Please note: This is a Mandatory Internship of 6 months duraction. We do need the proof of this from your University
