Assisting in the preparation and implementation of research projects, primarily on topics related to migration, but also on general issues of school and career motivation with adolescents and (future) teachers (e.g., survey studies, interviews, focus groups); preparing school and teaching projects on the topic of cultural diversity

Aufgaben

  • Assisting in the preparation of intervention and study materials
  • Processing and documenting quantitative datasets in SPSS
  • Coding of qualitative data
  • Accompanying school visits
  • Literature review

Anforderungen

A completed or advanced degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field is preferred, and an interest in topics of migration and cultural diversity in the school context is desired. Experience with quantitative (e.g., SPSS, R) or qualitative (interviews, focus groups) research methods is an advantage. We are looking for individuals with preferably very good English skills (our team is international) and, if applicable, basic knowledge of German. The duration of the internship is negotiable, but it should be at least one month and no more than three months, full-time. Preferably during the semester (October - February and April - July), other times are also possible on request.

Benefits

The internship is unpaid, but it can be credited as a mandatory internship, e.g., for a psychology degree. You also have the opportunity to further engage with our datasets if you wish to write your Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis in Psychology or Education.
