Huawei's Munich Research Center is responsible for advanced technology research, architectural development, design and strategic engineering of our products.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive intern to join the Riemann Lab at Huawei’s Munich Research Center. The Riemann Lab is Huawei’s main department focused on map and geospatial technologies. This position will assist in the development of research and technologies related to geospatial cognition, through deep learning and large language models.

Your mission

• Design and implement applications for 3D scene visualization and multimodal interaction
• Conduct research and contribute to improving cutting-edge machine learning architectures for 3D scene understanding and spatial cognition

Your areas of expertise

• BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or any other related field
• Currently undertaking an MSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or any other related field
• Strong Rust programming skills, with experience in 3D data manipulation, and hands-on experience with 3D Gaussian Splatting
• Strong knowledge of computer graphics, WebGPU, software engineering and system architecture
• Familiar with version control tools like git, as well as UNIX-like operating systems
• Good knowledge of the concepts, structures, formats and handling of 3D data
• Knowledge of deep learning applied to the geospatial domain is a plus
• Fluent in written and spoken English is required
