️ Your Opportunity

As a Social Media Manager Intern (m/f/d) at Smalt, you'll be the creative engine behind our brand presence. You'll own the full content production lifecycle - from podcast recordings and video shoots to the posts that land in thousands of feeds every day.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop hands-on experience building a brand in a competitive B2B market. You'll have the chance to flex your creative muscle while making a real impact.

You'll gain first-hand exposure to the challenges and opportunities of a high-growth startup, working side by side with our acquisition and leadership team to shape how Smalt shows up in the world. If you want to see your ideas come to life - and watch them drive real engagement - this role is for you.

Your Responsibilities

Pre-Production

• Schedule recordings, book locations, coordinate guest calendars

• Research and reach out to potential podcast guests

• Prepare briefing docs and run-of-show outlines

Production

• On-site coordination during shoots (setup support, logistics)

• Ensure recordings run smoothly and on schedule

Post-Production

• Brief and coordinate external video editors

• Identify key clips and highlights for social content

• Manage delivery timelines and ensure on-time publishing

Social Media Management

• Own and manage Smalt's social channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)

• Plan and maintain a content calendar

• Create, schedule, and publish posts (text, images, carousels, short-form video)

• Repurpose podcast/video content into platform-native formats

• Engage with the community (comments, DMs, mentions)

• Track performance metrics and suggest improvements

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 1-2 years of experience in social media, content production in a related field

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple timelines & stakeholders

• Strong feel for trends, timing, and what works on each platform

• Opinions on what makes content good - and ideas to bring to the table

• Fluent in English & German
