Your mission

Join our Propulsion and Equipment department in Munich and contribute to the development of cryogenic regulation valves and high-performance fluid systems. You will bridge the gap between traditional material science, modern digital tools, and tangible hardware engineering. Your tasks include:

  • Focus on Materials: Conduct advanced literature research on material compatibility and key properties in challenging aerospace contexts (with a strong focus on liquid hydrogen and other propellants).

  • Build Knowledge Databases: Leverage modern digital tools (including LLMs and AI) to efficiently extract, cross-reference, and structure complex research data into intelligent, company-wide engineering databases.

  • Explore Engineering Automation: Assist the team in researching and implementing automated workflows for CAD activities, such as AI-assisted drawing creation and parametric design to eliminate repetitive tasks.

  • Get Hands-On: Support hardware activities, including the physical inspection and tear-down of components after testing to evaluate actual material behavior against theoretical data.

  • Impact the Design: Contribute directly to design-relevant decisions based on your material research, database insights, and automated workflows.

Your profile
  • Currently enrolled in a relevant engineering or science discipline (e.g., Materials Engineering, Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, Chemistry).

  • Motivated, pragmatic, and self-organized personality.

  • Strong interest in complex aerospace equipment and material behavior under extreme conditions.

  • Modern engineering mindset: You are eager to use AI, LLMs, and novel digital approaches not just for data gathering, but also to explore how we can automate repetitive design and CAD tasks.

  • Experience with CAD tools is a plus, particularly if combined with an interest in scripting, automation, or AI-assisted design.

  • Hands-on mindset for hardware-related activities (inspection, assembly, testing).

  • Fluency in English (German and further languages are a plus).

We offer
  • Internship can be mandatory or voluntary

  • Above average remuneration

  • Guided but self-determined problem solving to realize your ideas

  • Deep dive into the domain of commercial spaceflight and mobility

  • Opportunity for an adjacent employment as working student or for thesis

  • Flexible entry date, the sooner the better with flexible working hours

  • Holiday entitlement above German standards

About us

We are deltaVision GmbH – a young, ambitious high-tech company based in Munich, driving the future of in-space mobility and infrastructure.

Since our founding in 2022, we have been developing, manufacturing, and qualifying advanced fluid control systems for the aerospace industry and H₂ aviation. Our expertise spans cryogenic and high-pressure propulsion systems as well as next-generation orbital refueling technologies, including couplers and fully integrated refueling systems designed for the harsh environment of space.

With our deep knowledge of fluid control for space systems, we are shaping the space economy towards refuelable and reusable spacecraft. We enable longer mission lifetimes, greater operational flexibility, and entirely new architectures for sustainable space operations.

What sets us apart?

  • Innovative products enabling next-generation space infrastructure
  • Exceptional cost efficiency through optimized design and manufacturing
  • Rapid development and delivery cycles beyond traditional industry standards

We are rethinking spaceflight — enabling a future where spacecraft are not disposable, but reusable, refuelable, and built to operate sustainably in orbit.
