Public Affairs Intern - Europe

Your mission

We seek a keen mind to join our Public Affairs team in Europe. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in policy monitoring, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communications within the rapidly expanding renewable energy sector. The intern will collaborate closely with the Public Affairs team on critical topics such as energy policy, industrial policy, sustainability, and regulatory developments impacting the solar and energy storage industry across Europe.

Your key tasks will include:

  • Supporting the monitoring and analysis of EU and national policy developments relevant to Sungrow’s business, particularly in energy, climate, industrial policy, and cybersecurity. 
  • Conducting comprehensive research on legislative and regulatory changes, key stakeholders, and market trends. 
  • Assisting in the preparation of internal briefings, policy summaries, presentations, and background notes.
  • Contributing to the drafting of position papers, talking points, and materials for stakeholder outreach.
  • Helping to identify and map relevant stakeholders, including EU institutions, national authorities, industry associations, and other external partners. 
  • Supporting the organization and execution of meetings, events, conferences, and public affairs activities.
Your profile

All right, all right, that was intriguing, wasn't it? Now, to thrive in this role and contribute meaningfully, your ideal background should look a lot like this:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Political Science, European Studies, International Relations, Public Policy, Law, Economics, Communications, or a related field. A strong interest in EU affairs, energy policy, and the clean energy transition. 
  • Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills. Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to summarize complex topics clearly and concisely. 
  • A proactive, reliable, and adaptable mindset, comfortable working in an international and fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent command of English (C1); German and/or Chinese language skills are a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
