Your mission

At Planet A Foods, we are revolutionizing the food industry to protect the planet we love by perfecting centuries‑old fermentation technology, offering healthier alternatives and saving up to 500 Mt of CO₂ per year!

We created the world’s first 100% cocoa‑free chocolate called ChoViva. Its smooth melt, roasty notes and subtle sweetness make it completely natural, gluten‑free, vegan and made with only seven ingredients. ChoViva offers an exceptionally low carbon and water footprint, contributing to the mitigation of deforestation and exploitation of child labour.

On our journey to protect the planet, we are looking for a Food Scientist Intern (mandatory internship). In this role you will be part of the ChoViva Chocolate Research & Development team, supporting the further development of our product, producing samples and prototypes in our lab‑scale pilot production, and scaling from lab to production.

Your tasks at Planet A Foods

• Assist the team in flavour optimization and perform experiments along our ChoViva process, including food‑science related measurements with eg. GC‑MS, Texture Analyzer, Rheometer etc.
• Prepare raw ingredients and produce our ChoViva.
• File new recipes and produce prototypes for clients.
• Further operational tasks, eg. packing and shipping.

Your profile

• You are enrolled in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition or similar courses (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) and must complete a mandatory internship.
• You are a positive person with a passion for sustainable food, working hand in hand with other ambitious people on something meaningful.
• You are enthusiastic about food science and product development and willing to learn food‑science related analytical methods.
• You are self‑disciplined, hands‑on, proactive and ready to take ownership.
• You are in Munich or willing to relocate to Munich.
• You already have a work visa or permission to work in Germany, or EU citizenship, and we only hire interns that need to complete a mandatory internship for university.
