The Energy and Climate Department of a diplomatic mission in Berlin offers internship opportunities on an ongoing basis.

Internship location is Berlin, the internship should last 2-3 months.

No expense allowance can be paid. 

Fields of activity of the interns:

• Support for all activities in the Climate and Energy Department within the framework of German domestic and foreign policy
• In particular, assistance with research, the preparation of summaries and analyses on relevant topics:

o  Climate actions

o  Renewable energies and energy efficiency

o  Hydrogen

o  Political foundations

o  Scientific research and development 

o  EU Horizon projects

o  Institution collaboration

•  Translation and explanation of political documents 

Profile of the interns:

• Preference given to students of energy or sustainability studies
• Very good German and English language skills (oral and written)
• Confident computer skills with MS-Word, MS-Excel, web browser and social media
• Commitment and interest in current political events and international politics
• Prior knowledge of foreign and security policy issues
• Analytical and organizational skills

• Support Various Climate and Energy Activities: Assist in research, summaries, and analyses on climate actions, renewable energies, energy efficiency, hydrogen, political foundations, scientific research, EU Horizon projects, and institution collaboration.
• Translation and Explanation Skills: Translate and explain political documents, enhancing language proficiency and understanding of political processes.
• International Exposure: Contribute to both domestic and foreign policy, gaining insights into global issues and international cooperation.
• Hands-on Experience: Actively participate in day-to-day activities, contributing directly to the Climate and Energy Department's goals.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work with professionals from diverse backgrounds, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.
