Intern / Working Student - Operations Insights & Business Support (Rail Division) (m/f/d)

Fluent German (Native level)  and English is a prerequisite 

Initially, this post of offer on a 3-month basis, with the possibility of extension. 

Position summary: 

As a Working Student or Intern in Omio’s Commercial team, you will contribute to strengthening our compliance processes with transportation providers across Europe. Your work ensures our partners operate in line with contractual obligations and legal regulations, safeguarding Omio’s commitment to customer protection and operational integrity.

Main tasks and responsibilities:


  • Support the commercial team in reviewing and assessing provider practices against Omio’s contractual standards and legal frameworks (EU and national laws).

  • Conduct research on transport-related legal obligations, passenger rights, and service standards within different jurisdictions.

  • Assist in gathering and organising documentation for audits or regulatory reviews of provider performance.

    Help evaluate provider behavior in relation to refund handling, customer communication, and service delivery obligations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Legal, Operations, Customer Service, Partner Management) to ensure legal alignment and escalate irregularities.

    Maintain tracking tools and reports summarising the outcome of provider compliance checks.


Qualifications


  • Currently pursuing Business degrees /  Business Administration / Management / Industrial Engineering / Public Policy. 

  • Ability to understand and interpret legal documents, contracts, and regulatory texts.

  • Strong analytical and research skills with a detail-oriented approach.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German; additional European languages are a plus.

  • Interest in the travel or mobility industry and in learning how legal frameworks apply to commercial settings.

  • Comfortable working independently with guidance in a fast-paced, international environment.
