Internship in industrial Design Robotics (m/f/d)
We are seeking a talented and creative Industrial Design Intern to join our team for a 6-month internship starting in March 2026. The ideal candidate combines a sharp eye for detail with a strong passion for conceptual thinking, visual design, and robotics.
In this role, you will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop innovative design concepts and contribute to the creation of final product designs, helping to push the boundaries of what’s possible in robotics.
Your Responsibilities- Conduct user, market, and technology research
- Iterate over user journeys, user stories and user feedback based on prototypes to address their pain points
- Contribute to design projects from initial ideation and sketching through rapid prototyping, 3D modeling, and final renderings
- Support mid-level and senior designers throughout all stages of their projects
- Experience using 3D printers for rapid prototyping
- Skills in animation using Blender, 3ds Max, or similar tools
- Experience designing user interfaces for physical devices
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Industrial Design
- Proficient in design tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Rhino, SolidWorks, Blender, KeyShot, V-Ray, or comparable software
- Strong aesthetic sensibility and attention to detail
- Creativity, solid technical understanding, and a collaborative mindset
- Proficient in English
- A strong portfolio showcasing industrial design projects and the underlying design process
- Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment, with excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills
