Job Description

As part of our international internship program, you’ll gain hands-on experience in automation and digitalization across two global locations – Germany and Tunisia. You’ll work on real projects, explore smart manufacturing technologies, and actively contribute to LEONI’s digital transformation journey.

The internship is structured into three phases:

  • Onboarding in Kitzingen, Germany (approx. 2 months)
    Get to know LEONI’s culture, production& logistics processes, and automation strategy.
  • Practical experience in Tunisia (approx. 2 months)
    Apply your skills in a real production environment and work directly in one of our plants.
  • Wrap-up in Kitzingen, Germany (approx. 2 months)
    Present your findings and help translate your experience into actionable strategies.

    • Tasks:

  • Analyze existing tools and systems to identify opportunities for AI and Digitalization in the area of Supply Chain Planning
  • Co-developing AI-supported processes and tools related to Supply Chain Planning (e.g. automatic extract of relevant data from external documents, automated checks of customer requirements & documents, support in automating cost calculations and quotations)
  • Supporting in the analyzing, cleansing and preparing data

    • Qualifications

  • You are currently enrolled at a German university
  • You are pursuing a degree in a relevant technical field (e.g. Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics)
  • You are tech-driven and demonstrate analytical thinking
  • You have a basic understanding of supply chain processes such as planning, logistics, procurements, or inventory management
  • You have basic knowledge of data analysis tools (e. g. Excel, Power BI, Pyhton, SQL, SAP, SAC)
  • You are open to intercultural experiences and global collaboration
  • You have working proficiency in both Mandarin and English
  • You are available for the full 6-month internship period
