Join our HR Operations team as Praktikant*in/Intern (m/f/d) for 40 hours/week based in our Global Head Office in Bonn, Germany.
Role Purpose
You liaise and support our HR Operations Team and the HR Business Partner to manage all parts of HR operations delivering the best HR services to our workforce within a digital HR environment. You will have the chance to work on HR Projects and therefore will contribute to the digital transformation roadmap for HR. The successful candidate will be part of a highly skilled team dedicated to serve all company needs of a diverse and international workforce. This role is a great start to your HR career as it brings a vast HR experience in an international environment.
• Support HR topics covering the whole employee lifecycle including but not limited to contract management, onboarding, payroll preparation, annual leave and absence records and German labor law matters.
• Assist with the onboarding process of new employees; where needed also ensure employees have a smooth relocation process.
• Cooperation in HR projects to drive the digital journey from DHL Express.
• Proactively manage HR systems in order to ensure data integrity and leverage HR systems for reporting and streamlining HR processes.
• Ensure that HR files, both physical and digital, are created and maintained in accordance with legal requirements and company policies and procedures.
• Liaising with third party suppliers as payroll, relocation providers and German authorities, e.g. Tax office, health insurance.
• Support event organization.
• Good to very good previous academic performance, ideally with a business or Human Resources connection.
• Strong administrative skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Confident handling of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to communicate well at all levels and build good relationships, both internally and externally.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• A committed attitude, self-drive and the ability to use initiative, to prioritize, and respond very quickly to business requirements in a fast-paced environment.
• Accuracy, timeliness and reliability in all aspects of HR support.
• Intercultural sensitivity and language skills.
• Both fluent German and English language skills are mandatory for this role.
